The nearest sandy beach, Puerto de Pollença, is about 19 km from the house. It is a fine sandy beach, which slopes gently into the sea. The surrounding mountains offer a beautiful contrast to the sea. Puerto de Pollença has a harbor where you can see everything from luxurious yachts to colorful little fishing boats. The harbor promenade is particularly beautiful, has a wide range of restaurants, and invites you to linger.
In about 20 minutes by car you can reach the town of Pollença, which used to be popular with painters and artists. This influence can still be felt today and gives the town a unique flair. During the summer months, there is always something going on in Pollença and you can visit art exhibitions, concerts or festivals. In the charming main square, you can have a bite to eat in one of the many bars and restaurants and watch the lively hustle and bustle. Don't forget to visit the Romanesque Bridge as well as the small church on the "Calvari" hill. You reach this church by climbing 365 steps; however, the effort is rewarded with magnificent views over the town and the surrounding countryside. Sunday is market day in Pollença. At the market, you have the opportunity to buy fresh food from the region as well as handmade products from the locals.
